Alpha Omega
Color: Deep black cherry with touches of ruby and purple on the rim.
Nose: Explosion of black currant and blackberry balanced with spices of cedar, cigar, nutmeg, black pepper and thyme with hints of rose petal, lavender and violet.
Palate: Dense entrance of fresh picked blackberry balanced with fresh acidity and velvety tannins, spices, oak, licorice, plum, chocolate and raspberry evolving on black currant jam.

The richness of this wine is immediately evident. It defines lushness, opulence, velvety ripeness, complexity, in short, Napa Bordeaux at its heady best. It’s not subtle, offering waves of blackberry jam, black currant and chocolate flavors, but it’s so good, you just can’t keep from drinking it. And after all, that’s the first duty of wine. Wine Spectator
A wine of considerable magnitude, firm, intense and powerful, with a dense, chewy core of herb- and mineral-laced blackberry, crème de cassis, black licorice and mocha-laced oak. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2013 through 2023.

Wine Advocate
The 2007 ERA Proprietary Wine exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as cedar, roasted herb, black currant, and camphor notes, outstanding ripeness, purity, and depth, good richness, sweeter tannin than the 2006, and, like many 2007s, an underlying minerality and precision that make this vintage so special. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and enjoy it over the following 15 years.

Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
