The wine presents a vivid ruby red color. On the nose black fruit and blueberries aromas are evident, accompanied by chocolate, vanilla and elegant flower scents enhance the wine complexity. On the mouth it has velvety and harmonious tannins and good structure, due to a proper harvesting time selection, while vanilla notes stay lingering during the long finish of the wine. It's a fresh and joyful wine, were acidity is in perfect balance, a faithful example of the quality of the Mendoza first zone.

Very fresh and pure, with lovely violet, shaved vanilla and dark raspberry notes gliding over fine-grained tannins. The long, suave finish has a nice pastis hint. Drink now.

Wine Advocate
The 2009 Malbec contains 7% Cabernet Sauvignon in its makeup and saw 60% of the wine aged in French oak for 6 months. Aromas of cedar, spice box, and cherry cola lead to a rather stolid, standard quality wine that should be consumed over the next 2-3 years.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
