Alexander Valley Vineyards
The Cabernet Sauvignon, the chief component of this proprietary blend, was concentrated with big tannins. To balance those qualities, Hall added more Cabernet Franc than he has in previous years, which contributed deep floral notes to the wine. This is a big structured wine that will drink beautifully for years to come, maybe 10 or even 15 years. There's aromas here of black cherry, dark chocolate and exotic spices and rich flavors of plum, blueberry and mocha.
Wine Enthusiast
This Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated Bordeaux blend is the winery’s top red, and in the warm vintage of 2004, they’ve produced a balanced, rich wine that needs time. It shows classic flavors of currants, chocolate, sweet tobacco, herbs and cedar, but the tannins are fresh and arch. Should develop gracefully over the next 10–12 years.
